Job Responsibilities:

Work closely with the systems strengthening team to assess the availability and capacity of government agriculture and livestock extension services and build their capacity to effectively roll out context specific production interventions at all levels.
Coordinate with Markets Systems and Value chain officer and county teams to identify private sector partners and opportunities for new enterprises that improve farmer access to input and output markets
Collaborate with Nawiri health and nutrition and the SBC staff to integrate messaging into crop and livestock production training curriculums.
In coordination with technical leads/advisors, co-lead crop, livestock, poultry, and milk market assessments and support design of interventions to address identified gaps.

Actively advance Nawiri’s connections to livestock and agriculture actors at ward, sub-county and county level, seeking avenues for partnership, collaboration and coordination of activities.
Ensure that agriculture and livestock development strategies and activities are designed and implemented based on sound contextual analysis.
Work with the M&E team to monitor and measure outputs related to production interventions and with the accountability and learning team to ensure community feedback is monitored and acted upon and that learning around production interventions is documented and shared at all levels.
